I am a U.S. citizen, and I intend to get a job in New York City as a graphic designer and / or a jeweler / designer accessories. Can you suggest me what are the best companies to work?

Your best bet is to seek advertising agency and have a look at your list customers. I see that customers have that you think may help in the design area, contact the agency to establish a personal interview.
