Are the upscale stores in Cancun more expensive than in the USA? How much is the sales tax in shopping malls?

I’m going to Cancun in the middle of August and I want to buy brand names like a louis vuitton handbag or designer sunglasses, but not sure if the price was the same or more expensive than in the USA.

Yes, Cancun is certainly more expensive that regular outlet malls in the USA. I suggest checking out online prices in the USA and visiting a few outlet malls near your city and noting down the prices before you go to Cancun. This way, you will get a chance to check out the prices in Cancun and decide to buy from there or save money by buying them closer to home.

More likely than not, you will return to the US and buy them here. Online or local, we can compare prices, colors, sizes, brands, etc.

And best of all, we can return it if we are not happy with it!
