Best shops in London?

My dad and my mom is going to London for ten days. I wanted to know where the best places to buy designer clothes are: (i need to buy some new clothes for school). So is the great wheel of fortune name?

Oxford Street (Selfridges) Harrods is very elegant, I know if they sell clothes sorry (not a Londoner, but have been in London a couple of times). The "Wheel of Fortune" is called the London Eye and is to reach it, get the tube to Westminster. (www.tfl.gov.uk). Regent Street near Oxford Street also has plenty of shops. I believe the BBC also said about opening a new mall in west London, probably worth a visit.
